I had the privilege of sharing a little time with Lilian during me stay in Worthing last year. She would put the kettle on and we would sit and play scrabble whilst drinking our tea. This was a routine she and Alyson had every afternoon. I was hard put to beat her even at her age. But the thing I enjoyed most was her stories. She had a vivid recollection of life in Brighton when she was young and I sat and listened with joy at her stories. She was so proud of her garden and it was beautiful particularly through the eyes of an Australian where our gardens are so different. I would love to be there with you all today but know I will be thinking of you and remembering Lilian with the joy of having known an amazing lady.
